CC-2530 without z-stack and x86 host linux running zboss

Added by Ye-In Seol over 2 years ago

Hi,

My TI CC-2530 module cannot adopt Z-stack provided by TI because of memory limit.
So, I'm considering ZBOSS on the host linux(x86) and CC-2530 as radio module.
Is it possible?

Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

No, it's not possible from the box. You can implement it by yourself, running ZBOSS Mac on CC2530 and the rest of the stack on your linux machine, providing the middle layer for data and commands.
In another words you should adapt mlme and mlde routines with USB, using TI USB library on CC2530 side and libusb application (or maybe linux driver?) on the PC side.
If you make it work, please, let us now, it's rather interesting project.

Good luck!
